Have you ever had hard times? Where life seems all upside down and things just didn't go your way? All your effort seems futile your mind just went into funk because of circumstances outside of your control? I definitely did and had...
Well you should not allow that to happen... at least not for extended time. I will help you in this article to get out of your funk as fast as possible when ever it should happen to you. The three keys are meant to help you get back control of your thinking when ever things outside of your control happen to you... (life happen to everyone but not everyone reacts the same way to life...)
Key #1 is:
Eliminate your perception of entitlement. Have you ever asked for a favour and they have let you down... then you thought: "Wow. I can't believe it, I have done so much for them and they would treat me like that..." Chances are that you have been in situations like that before, BUT you should not allow yourself to stay in that state! If you help people only for the sake of helping them rather then expecting some reciprocate help from them you will never again be disappointed! Think about it, your disappointment comes actually only because you expected something from them. Understand that the Universe ALWAY brings back what you send out, but mostly never from that same person... you always get what you deserve but sometimes there may be some time window between so you actually don't remember sending out the exact same vibe time ago...
You should know that people have a very short memory when it comes to favours we have done for them but we all have a very long memory when it comes to favours we have done to someone else... So what should you do when someone whom you helped acts in a selfish or disappointing manner? Offer to help them more! Yes! I mean that. I know it might sound strange but life is about maintaining your own state of mind and not the one of other people. If you can walk around with the knowledge that you are someone who helps others you will be able to maintain a happy state of mind which should be the goal.
Key #2 is:
It is much better to be happy then right. AND... there are very very rare situations where you can be both! Believe me I know what I am talking about with this! I am a person who is mostly right... LOL but I am learning to be happy instead...
When someone is arguing his life for something you know is wrong - simply STOP ARGUING! Choose to be happy rather then arguing with someone who needs to be right. There is three reasons why:
First because the might be right. Yes, they actually might be right and you might just be missing some key information that would show you how they are right... what a drag when you argue for something and after find out you where wrong...
Second is that when you allow yourself to be in a negative and argumentative or combative state you actually attract more of it into your life. That is for sure not what you are attempting or what will make you happy.
Third is that mostly people will learn later that they where wrong and they will admire you for not arguing with them even though your where right.
Key #3 is:
If you have a thought that does not serve you well in reaching your dreams and goals... THROUGH IT AWAY! We all have negative thoughts creep into our mind at times, no one actually can control that but we do have the choice on how long we will dwell on them. So when you catch yourself dwelling on a negative thought simply say: " I don't think so!"
Now this might not be so easy at times, and when this happen simply say to yourself (if possible aloud): " I feel terrific!" ...or... "I am so grateful that I have so many great and exciting things coming into my life right now!" Just saying this will make you feel better immediately.
I hope these three keys will help you lead a happier and more productive life. The more we reject the victim mentality along with keeping our thoughts positive, the better our lives will be.
