Usually I don't mention any company names in my blog posts but this week I have to make an exception.
The Federal Trade Commission has recently issued a complaint and filed a lawsuit against Vemma, claiming they are a Pyramid Scheme.
I will not go into the lawsuit in this video or post but just wanted to share my view on how this potentially affects you and the whole profession of Network Marketing and the whole direct selling industry. And, of utmost importance... what actions YOU as an individual inside this profession need to take.
It is right now time for all of us to realise how absolutely important it is to DO THINGS RIGHT! I am a big fan of the Network Marketing Profession, of Vemma and I have many good friends in Vemma who are honest Network Marketers and my goes out to all of you! This litigation with Vemma and the FTC has created a heightened sense of awareness for everyone in the Network Marketing community. There are a few things YOU need to understand and look at your company and you very own practices of building your business. Watch Video below...
1. You must focus on legitimate RETAIL CUSTOMERS.
This means real customers who buy your product and have absolutely no attachment to your compensation structure. You must teach this to your team as well. Your organisation can not consist of distributor consumptions only. You ... and all of your team members must focus on collecting Retail Customers who buy and/or consume your product. 2. DO NOT MAKE INCOME CLAIMS! This is very important. If you do any sort of income claims, like showing your paycheck or telling people they will make so many thousands of dollars within so many days/weeks you are creating a problem! Be extremely careful of how you present your business to others. Bottom line is you have to watch my video above again to get my whole input. We ALL need to act and BE PROFESSIONALS! No false or misleading statements. NO LIES! You must train your group and if you see someone in or out of your group doing things the wrong way, putting our profession in a bad light, CALL THEM ON IT! Train your team, teach them how to move products in the right way to end users and duplicate that into your organisation....
